The Wednesday Wonder for this week is to design a "
Argh. I'm hiding my head in embarrassment. It was supposed to be curiousity work-outs, not creativity work-outs. I flunk. Going to the dunce chair. *sigh*
1. Take a walk. Be as observant of EVERYTHING on the walk as you possibly can. When done, jot down every detail of the walk in order. See how many gaps you have in your log.
2. Take a walk, only...walk backwards. The creativity comes in how you respond to people's reactions to you and how you respond when you fall on your butt. (Hopefully you'll just pick yourself up, dust yourself off...and hey, that sounds like a song!)
3. Take a walk with a camera. Look for specific things. For example, look for a color. Nature colors are a good way to start out, colors like pink take a little more examination. Look for shapes. Frame your shot. If you have film or disk space, fine, take the shot, but the creativity is in the frame, not the output.
4. Take a walk in the cemetery. Look at the monuments. Make up stories about the people memorialized there. Note the dates, the ages, whether they are alone or with other family members.
5. Take a walk outside on a clear night. Look up at the skies. Search them for your own personal constellation...not one of the ones the astronomers tell us about, but one of something you can picture. Name it. Name it in Latin. Remember it. Point it out to a companion.
